We have organized several great competitions to help get everyone involved whether it be a participating or cheering. Competitions will take place on Saturday at Hardwood Ski and Bike. Fantastic prizes from our sponsors will be awarded to 1st (+$150 prize value), 2nd (+$75 prize value) and 3rd place ($50 prize value) finishers.
1) Capture the Flag Hill Climb - Depending upon number of registerants we will have several heats of 4-10 riders who will charge up the hill. First one to grab the Festival Tshirt on the pole at the top of the hill moves on to the Finals!
2) Wrenching contest - Timed event: change 2 tires and convert to geared to single speed
3) Bike Bling - submit your custom blinged out mountain bike during a 1hr time slot and uber knowledgeable bike bling judges will review and award Prizes for overall best of show bikes.
4) Bike Skills - Longest manual and nose wheelie, highest bunny hop, and best Personal Special Trick
5) No touch derby - There can only be one! Start with multiple riders in an enclosed play area who have ride and avoid touching each other and stay on their bikes (no dabs) , play area shrinks every 2 minutes. Last 3 riders to survive place.
Competitions are Free to register day of but spots will be limited based on interest level and awarded on a first come first serve basis. Competitions will start at 1 pm. Registration will take place at the Volunteer Tent and will close 30 mins before start of competition.
